ProgenyHealth® Names Elysia Tomlinson as General Counsel
Plymouth Meeting, PA, March 28, 2019 – ProgenyHealth, a leading provider of comprehensive NICU medical management and care coordination, announces that Elysia Tomlinson, Esq., has been appointed to General Counsel. ProgenyHealth’s integrated services support families, providers, and payers nationwide in improving health for premature and medically complex infants and reducing healthcare costs.
Ms. Tomlinson has held senior legal positions and served as in-house counsel to corporations in managed care for the past eight years. With AmerisourceBergen, she negotiated contracts with PBMs and participation agreements with independent pharmacies and health systems for the PSAO; drafted complex commercial agreements for the sales team; and supported the franchise, Good Neighbor Pharmacy®. Her experience includes two major Medicaid managed care organizations: Gateway Health Plan in Pittsburgh, PA, and AmeriHealth Caritas in Philadelphia, PA. In these roles, she drafted and negotiated delegation, service and vendor agreements; provided legal counsel and litigation management; managed staff including attorney, compliance, and appeals personnel; and participated in the procurement, implementation and operationalizing of managed care contracts.
In her new role at ProgenyHealth, Ms. Tomlinson is responsible for overseeing all legal matters, including leading strategic and complex contract negotiation; providing guidance on regulatory compliance and licensing matters; overseeing the implementation and daily operational tasks for maintaining an effective Corporate Compliance and Privacy Program; and managing risks for the organization.
Ms. Tomlinson is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Association of Corporate Counsel. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from The Pennsylvania State University – Behrend College where she was a Schreyer Honors College Scholar. She is admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania.
