Elysia Tomlinson, Esq.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer
With nearly two decades of experience, Elysia Tomlinson, Esq. is a respected and influential figure in the legal profession with a career that exemplifies a steadfast dedication to commercial transactions, corporate governance, risk management, and compliance and privacy programs in the healthcare sector. As Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer for ProgenyHealth, she serves as a trusted business partner to the organization.
In her role at ProgenyHealth, Elysia is responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance affairs of the organization. This includes guiding the strategic direction, the implementation, and the daily operational tasks for maintaining a robust effective Corporate Compliance and Privacy Program, ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards, and proactively managing risks, while also leading the strategic and complex contract negotiations of services agreements, vendor agreements, and key business agreements. Her influence extends beyond the legal domain, as she plays a pivotal role on the Senior Leadership Team providing thoughtful guidance, reasoned advice, and advocacy for the departments and personnel under her purview, including compliance, regulatory, privacy, quality, audit, accreditation, and reporting.
With a background deeply rooted in healthcare law, Elysia’s journey has been marked by significant milestones. Prior to joining ProgenyHealth in 2019, she contributed her legal acumen to the prestigious Fortune 500 company, AmerisourceBergen (now Cencora), where she negotiated pharmaceutical sourcing agreements and represented the interests of the pharmacy services administrative organization, negotiating purchase agreements with GPOs and reimbursement agreements with PBMs. Her knowledge extends further into Medicaid managed care, a pillar of her experience that gives her unique insight and perspective for her present role, as she made substantial contributions to both Gateway Health Plan in Pittsburgh and AmeriHealth Caritas Health Plan in Philadelphia.
Elysia is an active member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, Texas Bar Association, and The Woodlands Bar Association. Her commitment to excellence is highlighted by her academic achievements, having earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from The Pennsylvania State University as a Schreyer Honors College Scholar. She is duly licensed to practice law in both Texas, where she resides with her family, and Pennsylvania, where ProgenyHealth is headquartered.
